The Colorado Women's Art Center & Museum
doesn't have a physical location yet.
We have our eye on a building at 9th and Santa Fe Dr.
in the heart of the Arts District on Santa Fe.
This arts district has been active for more than
40 years and was this starting point of the
popular First Fridays Art Walk.
It is also the first Colorado Certified Art District.
Something like a roofing and siding company will take over this location that has been a gallery for 40 years.
Denver will lose a major destination for the arts that is know worldwide.

Your donation today saves the Arts District on Santa Fe Dr.
Something like a roofing and siding company will take over this location that has been a gallery for 40 years.
Denver will lose a major destination for the arts that is know worldwide.
There are significant reasons to purchasing this building.
# 1. The first of course, is to highlight and elevate the artwork and accomplishments of Colorado Women Artists.
# 2. The second is having a physical location for the Center & Museum in the Arts District on Santa Fe.
# 3. The third is to keep rents lower than a for profit landlord needs, partly through reductions in property tax for a non-profit owner, that will allow the current galleries to remain in the building.
# 4. The fourth is to preserve the building as a gallery and central hub in the Arts District on Santa Fe.
# 5. The fifth is to help sustain the arts as a significant highlight in Denver for residents and visitors.
Please help us and make this opportunity a reality!

The Colorado Women's Art Center & Museum is interested in Collecting original artwork by Colorado Women Visual Artists, see criteria below.
We will also accept donations of original artwork by men and artists outside of Colorado that may be sold at auction to financially support the Museum.
All artwork will be evaluated prior to acceptance for donation. Any value attributed to donated artwork will not be deemed a valid appraisal from the Museum.
The general criteria we evaluate artists we accept into the museum are:
1. Female/Woman identifying persons of all races and ethnicities.
Although we genuinely support all gender-identity choice, we define our museum in terms of gender identities that align with Female or Woman because that identity has historically faced significant inequities in the traditional art world.
2. Minimum of 10 years living and working as a visual artist in Colorado.
3. Active contribution to or involvement in the Colorado artistic community.
This may be through teaching/mentoring, exhibiting, or participation in arts organizations in Colorado.
